Understanding Subliminal Weight Loss The Easy Way
You may have heard of other people dream of losing weight to say. And do you have if you have the same dream, then tried a number of measures to get the best result. However, if you tried to practice a few times and diet, but still worth in the end to maintain your weight, so something must have been the cause.

I try to keep my fridge well-stock with vegetables and in the section for Low-Carb recipes you'll find an assortment of egg casseroles ideas that include veggies like Kale, Broccoli, Swiss Chard, Spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms, and even asparagus when it's in season. But this Easy Low-Carb Southwest Egg Casserole is a recipe I came up with many (many!) years ago when the vegetable crisper was empty and I didn't want to go to the store. The recipe uses drained canned tomatoes, canned green chiles, Mexican blend cheese, spices and eggs to create a delicious breakfast casserole that uses ingredients you probably always have on hand. I love this with a generous dollop or sour cream and salsa to continue the southwestern flavors; hope you enjoy!

(Today's pick for the month of Daily Phase One Recipes is this delicious CrockPot Southwestern Pot Roast that I've made many times since I first posted it back in 2008. I need to update this recipe with step-by-step photos, but actually this recipe is so easy you probably don't need them! You can see all the recipes from the month by clicking Daily Phase One Recipes. Check after the recipe for Phase One Flashbacks from this day in 2012 and 2013.)
This is one of my Five Ingredients Recipes and it uses canned beef broth and salsa to add southwestern flavor to pot roast that gets tender and flavorful in the slow cooker. Please don't skip the preparation steps of browning the roast and reducing the beef broth on the stove before you add it to the slow cooker, because both those steps add a lot of flavor here. You can do that the night before if you'd like, and then put the browned meat, broth, and salsa in the slow cooker to cook all day on low while you're at work.

Easy Recipe for Spicy Avocado in Pita

(Updated May 2013 with better photos and step-by-step instructions. I've been making this Spicy Avocado in Pita regularly since I first posted it in 2006!) If you're going to stick with any kind of healthy eating plan you need some easy and healthy options for times when you just don't want to cook, and this is one of my favorite things to make for an easy lunch or dinner, especially whenever avocados are on sale. It's nothing more complicated than avocado mashed with a fork, spiced up with a bit of chile powder and salt, and then eaten in a 100% whole wheat pita pocket or Foldit with a bit of lettuce. (The same whole wheat pita I use for this is also great to cut into triangles, crisp in the oven a little, and use instead of chips for any kind of dip or hummus, for another easy and healthy snack or lunch.)

Everywhere you look on Pinterest and on the blogs there are Christmas cookies, and even though I do have a few ideas for low-sugar and sugar-free cookies, truthfully I'm tired of the sweets and ready for something green and crunchy! This Easy Broccoli and Radish Salad with Gorgonzola is the kind of simple salad I'd make for myself for a quick lunch, but don't you think the bright red and green colors (and the use of creamy Gorgonzola cheese) make this something you can get away with for a Christmas salad? Personally I would head right for this on the buffet table.
Before we get to the recipe, let's talk about healthier salad dressing. Blue cheese dressing is definitely a limited food if you're following the South Beach Diet or trying to focus on healthy eating. But I love blue cheese dressing, and for years I've been buying Lighthouse Chunky Blue Cheese and mixing it half-and-half with buttermilk for an easy and more diet-friendly blue cheese dressing that still tastes wonderful. That's the dressing I used for this easy salad, but if you have a favorite dressing recipe, I'm sure homemade dressing will be even better. (And if you're making homemade blue cheese dressing eight days before Christmas, more power to you!)

Quick Easy Sprouted Bean Recipes

How about beans? I cannot imagine getting them out of my diet. Do you ever eat them and if so how? I cant imagine raw?
A legume is a plant in the family Leguminosae, or a fruit from these plants. But to most folks, legumes are more commonly known as beans.
Take a look at a list of common legumes. I bet more than one of these will surprise you:
- alfalfa
- black beans
- carob
- clover
- cowpeas (black-eyed peas)
- garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
- lentils
- mung beans
- peas
- peanuts
- soybeans
The Musical Fruit
Sprouted legumes are an economical and essential part of a living food diet. They are easy to digest, and an excellent source of protein and fiber. Get in the habit of rinsing legume sprouts before eating. This helps to remove surface sugars that contribute to those musical toots.
You can purchase sprouted legumes or start sprouting your own at home. Almost any grain or legume can sprout, although they will have different sprouting times. A glass jar, some tulle netting, a rubber band, and youre good to go. Or you can buy a sprouting kit.

Sprouted Hummus
1 C mixed crunchy sprouts*
1 Tbsp tahini
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
salt & pepper to taste
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
* My favorite combo is green peas, red lentils, chickpeas, and adzuki beans.
Sprouted Lentil Tabouli
3 C red lentil sprouts
1 bunch scallions, chopped
1 bunch parsley, rough chopped
1/2 head celery, finely chopped
2 cucumbers, finely chopped
3 tomatoes, finely chopped
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Toss with sea salt, pepper, fresh lemon juice and olive oil to taste.

2 C sprouted lentils
1/2 C onion, chopped
2 tsp Braggs Liquid Aminos
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp curry powder
In a small bowl, mix the liquid aminos, lemon juice, garlic and curry powder. In a separate mixing bowl, combine lentils and onions. Pour dressing over the lentils and toss well.
This salad also makes a tasty filling for an avocado or pepper half.
Black Bean Dip*
3 C sprouted black beans
3 small tomatoes
1 medium onion
1 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne
1 clove garlic
Using a food processor or high-powered blender, combine all ingredients until well mixed and smooth.
* Besides making a wonderful dip, I like to place some on a large leaf of red lettuce along with sliced avocado and roll like a burrito. Yum!

2 fruits + 2 cup of Yogurt or piece of cheese + 1/4 pone
